The UV-C wavelengths emitted from the Philips GoZero Smart bottle are optimised at 280 nanometre to eliminate up to 99.999% of waterborne pathogens (viruses and bacteria) by breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread, making the water safe to drink. Compared to the conventional mercury-based UV technology, the UV-C LED technology in the Philips GoZero Smart bottle is chemical-free (non-mercury based) and environmentally friendly as it can pass through air without creating ozone.
