While Philips groomers are designed to be gentle on your skin, redness or irritation can sometimes occur after use.

To minimise skin issues after shaving or trimming:

• Visually inspect the shaving foil before use to ensure that it isn't damaged. If you notice any damage to the foil or a decrease in shaving performance, replace the foil immediately and do not use the device if the foil is damaged. You can purchase a replacement shaving foil here.
• Ensure that your groomer is clean and charged before each use.
• Make sure that your skin is clean before you use your groomer for optimal shaving performance. Pre-trimming long hair and exfoliating 24 hours before shaving can offer superior shaving performance while also reducing skin issues.
• If your groomer comes with a skin protector or other comb for intimate areas, always use it when shaving sensitive areas.
• Use your free hand to stretch the skin and minimise creases or wrinkles, providing a smooth surface for the groomer to glide across.
