How do I clean my Philips Head Pro?

Keep your Philips Head Pro performing at its best by following these simple steps for daily maintenance, monthly deep cleaning and pro tips using the rinse stand.

Daily Cleaning – Rinsing Under the Tap

Follow the steps below to perform a daily clean of your Philips Head Pro.

  1. Make sure that the shaver is turned off, then detach the shaving unit from the device.
  2. Rinse the shaving unit under lukewarm water.
  3. Gently reattach the shaving unit to the device.
  4. Shake off any excess water.

Please note: Do not dry the shaving unit with a towel or tissue (may damage the heads).

Monthly Deep Clean – Thorough Blade Cleaning

Follow the steps below to perform a monthly deep clean of your Philips Head Pro

  1. Turn the locking ring anticlockwise to unlock it, then lift it off to remove the individual shaving heads.
  2. Lift out each cutter and guard.
  3. Rinse each cutter and guard under the tap and allow them to dry.
  4. Reassemble cutter and guard pairs correctly. Each pair forms a matching set.
  5. Place the locking ring back on and turn it clockwise to secure the shaving heads.

Deep Clean – Using the Rinse Stand

To get the deepest clean possible, we recommend using the rinse stand (sold separately).

  1. Fill the rinse stand with lukewarm water up to the maximum fill line (see Fig. 1). Always place the stand on a stable, flat surface to avoid leaks.
  2. Turn on your Head Pro and place it in the rinse stand holder. Let it run for 1 minute to flush out any hair and residue (see Fig. 2). Please note: Stay with the device and turn it off manually. Do not tilt the rinse stand during use, as this may cause leakage.
  3. After cleaning, lift the inner holder from the stand (Fig. 3) and pour the dirty water down the drain (Fig. 4).
