If Cry Translation does not work, the troubleshooting tips below may help you find a solution.
- Please check if your 90 day free trial has ended. If you wish to continue using the service, please sign up for a monthly paid subscription.
- Ensure that the Baby Unit is online. Cry Translation only works when your Baby Unit is connected to the Internet.
- Check if your Wi-Fi connection is good and stable, as it may impact the speed at which the cry translations are received. Check the strength of the Wi-Fi signal on the App settings page. It works best when it shows "Excellent" or "Good".
- Check if the Baby Unit is correctly connected to the Parent Unit or the Philips Avent Baby Monitor+ App. Follow the steps in the user manual to connect the Baby Unit correctly. Ensure that the Baby Unit is placed close enough to the baby to detect the baby's cry and minimise interference from ambient noise.
- Check if there is not too much environmental noise. Avoid positioning the Baby Unit near sources of loud noise like TV sets or devices that produce sounds and vibrations, such as smartphones on vibration mode. Such noise can interfere with the Baby Monitor's ability to accurately detect and translate your baby's cries.
