My OnionChef doesn’t cut anymore when I put large chunks of carrots, is it broken?

When large pieces of carrots are in the basket, it's rather heavy, therefore when you turn it on, it starts rotating in the basket constantly without getting cut.

Using pulse actions for a few times will solve the issue and starts normally cutting again.
