The thermometer resets if I pull out the battery strip

If your Philips ear thermometer does not respond, or resets automatically, when you pull out its battery strip, please check the following potential causes:

The batteries are empty. (Replace them)
The poles of the batteries point in the wrong direction. (Realign the batteries)
The batteries are not making proper contact. (Realign the batteries)
