Philips Professional Display Solutions’ LED range now available across EMEA, promising fast delivery, easy installation and simple operation

Amsterdam, December 2019: Philips Professional Display Solutions, the market-leading digital display solutions provider for the B2B market, has announced the immediate availability of its new range of rapid-install LED displays to customers across EMEA.

With the preview shown during ISE 2019, Philips Professional Display Solutions’ Direct View L-Line Series has set a new market standard for indoor LED displays, combining superb image quality, perfect uniformity and innovative design features that aid easy installation.

“Feedback since ISE and at InfoComm in June has been incredible,” commented General Manager, Chris Colpaert.

“We’ve listened to the market to understand their historical pains, addressing those within our product designs to provide the complete end-to-end LED solution our customers crave. This extends from the moment an order is first placed, through the installation and across the lifetime management of the product.”

Shipments of LED displays are forecast to increase by 36.7 per cent in 2019 compared to 2018, with revenues rising to $5.1 billion. Nearly 50 percent of all LED video displays shipped in 2019 will be installed in indoor applications, with the 2-to-4.99mm pixel-pitch category dominating the market, whilst share of 1.99mm and below will account for 13 per cent, according to IHS Markit.

Seamless components – superior quality

The L-Line Series includes the 27” BDL91XXL and the 44” (16x9) BDL81XXL, with both models featuring a range of pixel pitch sizes, from 1.2mm to 4.8mm. Customers can simply connect multiple LED display cabinets to create the resolution they want, whether it's 4K, 8K or even higher, creating a seamless display, with no bezels.

Housed in lightweight, aluminium casing, the Philips PDS L-Line Series consists of six unique indoor modular tiles across two size variants to meet the wide range of customer needs.

Surpassing the EMC Class A EU requirement, the 27” BDL91xxL is designed from ground to reduce electromagnetic radiation, making it ideal for use in airports, control rooms and hospitals where radiation may otherwise interfere with critical equipment and devices. This, together with the fact that there are no high frequency wires in the display or cabinets has positioned the Philips 27” LED with the superior EMC Class B certification, while the 44” BDL81xxL has EMC Class A certification.

Commenting on these quality features, Martijn van der Woude, Director of Business Management, said: “We use connectors to link the hub board with the power supply and the LED modules instead of cables. This comes with added benefits, allowing for fast and easy installation and maintenance.”

Further reflecting the customer-centric philosophy for which Philips Professional Display Solutions is renowned, displays can be purchased as complete pre-configured kits – including LED cabinets, cables, cable management, industry standard controllers and an edge finishing kit – or individual panels and components, depending on your requirement needs.

Inspiring creativity – clutter free

When displays become larger, they become more difficult to handle. The new, modular L-Line system is a better and more practical solution – one that also inspires additional creativity with the modular cabinets allowing installers to design displays with varying shapes.

All displays are front serviceable, allowing LED modules, cables and power supplies to be changed or altered without having to remove the display from the wall.

Kits up to 330”

As well as standard, single cabinets, the Philips L-Line range can be ordered as a ‘solution-in-a-kit’, allowing installers to more easily select the product they need to create LED walls sized from 110” up to 330”.

“The market is in favour of standardised products and, ideally, prefers standard solutions”, says Martijn van der Woude. “Our new range means our customers can order all the components needed for their installation – including cables, cabinets and decoders – with just one product code. This is a big tick achieved on our partners’ wish lists.”

Speed of service

With Philips Professional Display Solutions’ centralised approach, LED orders are delivered within days, rather than weeks or months, thanks to its central-European warehouse.

Technical support and repair capabilities are also readily available locally, with Philips Professional Display Solutions’ Technical Center in Ghent and its Repair Center in Gorzow, delivering a much faster service than many other manufacturers.

As with all Philips displays, the LED series has a three-year warranty, with all after-sales support managed locally by our European-based service operation.

Martijn van der Woude said: “The new LEDs from Philips Professional Display Solutions are great news both for end customers and for our partners across EMEA and beyond. By bringing a new and more flexible approach to display design, they deliver a truly exceptional level of performance and include a variety of innovative features that make installation, operation and maintenance a simple and speedy process.”
