If the product is not working because of wrong/insufficient descaling, any malfunction will not be covered by the guarantee.

  1. Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged.
  2. Add one sachet of citric acid (10 g) to 200 ml of warm water. Alternatively you can use a solution of 150 ml of water and 50 ml of white vinegar (8%)
  3. Fill the water tank with the descaling solution. Use the measuring cup - do not fill the water tank directly from the water tap.
  4. The jar-without food inside-needs to be in the steaming position.
  5. Plug the device back in and turn the control knob to the steaming position. The steaming light lights up orange to indicate that the appliance is steaming.
  6. Switch off the appliance after 5-6 min of steaming and unplug it. Approximately 150 ml water remains in the water tank.
  7. Pour out the used solution from the water tank.
  8. Rinse the tank thoroughly several times with fresh water.
  9. Fill the tank with 200 ml of water and run two complete steaming cycles with an empty jar (until the appliance switches off automatically) before you use the appliance again. Be sure to leave 10 minutes in between each steaming session.
  10. Check if the water tank is completely empty of water and leave the lid open to avoid bacterial growth.
