My Philips Avent baby monitor makes a high-pitched noise

Published on 2019-11-17

Is your Philips Avent baby monitor making high-pitch noises? Use our instructional video to try and solve the issue yourself.

Play Pause

Make sure that the baby unit and parent unit of your Philips Avent baby monitor are at least 1 metre/3 feet away from each other.

Press the - button to decrease the volume of the parent unit of your Philips Avent baby monitor. You will see the current volume level on the display after pressing the - button. The parent unit beeps at every volume step.

The parent unit of your Philips Avent baby monitor may be too close to other DECT devices (like a baby phone or regular DECT phone). Remove these devices to avoid interference.

When the system is malfunctioning, you can try to reset your Philips Avent baby monitor by following the below steps. Your personal settings such as user mode, video, sound or lullaby selection will not be lost after the reset.

  1. Turn off the parent unit
  2. Press and hold the - button
  3. Turn on the parent unit while holding the - button
